I've just installed V1.01 of Scheherezade.
I like the fact that you support sub directories.
I'm having trouble with the foreward/rewind function.
Whenever I forward or rewind past the end or begining of the file I'm listening to, Scheherezada stops playing and the exit button stops working. I can still exit by using the disconnect call (red) button on the phone.
I tried this several times and got the same reaction with different files and different file formats.
BTW, where can I find the help or a user manual on the internet? (I don't wish to dwonload them to the phone).
I'm using an N73 with code factories Mobile Speak and Mobile Magnifier accessiblity software. I tried turing the accessiblity software off, but it didn't help, same results.
Thanks, Ziker |

Thanks Ziker for you feedback. I think it's a bug. I will look into it and release a new version soon.
ziker wrote I've just installed V1.01 of Scheherezade.
Me too. I've seen your posting to the mspeak mailing list.
ziker wrote Whenever I forward or rewind past the end or begining of the file I'm listening to, Scheherezada stops playing and the exit button stops working.
I can reproduce the issue with my girl's Nokia E50.
ziker wrote BTW, where can I find the help or a user manual on the internet?
I feel everything is self explanatory besides those few shortcut keys which are listed at the download page.
ziker wrote I'm using an N73 with code factories Mobile Speak and Mobile Magnifier accessiblity software.
I am also relying on the accessibility solutions by Code factory. I think the briliant thing on using python for developing symbian applications is the fact standard symbian User interface is exposed to python thus meaning all the accessibility is preserved and there is little chance this might be broken. I have never seen a custom vidgets built in python.
Thanks for such a great tool

Hello Platy! First of all i want to thank you for this player, i have used it for a couple of weeks and i like it. One thing i miss though is a timer, would be great to listen to a nice book in bed but i always manage to fall asleep, waking up an hour or so later whit the book still playing, hehe.
But the big problem is that the player doesn't work at all anymore. I had the same problem before. It says "please choose a book to listen to" and then it just closes without showing any list of books to choose from as it did before. I have reinstalled it several times but... Any idéas?

Dear Orpon, Thanks for your comments. sleep timer is in my list of features as I have the very same problem. I've got that bug report from many people and was planning to release a fix last weekend, but was very very busy. Hopefuly this weekend I will release a new version that fixes the problem.
